Collaborative learning is defined as a learning environment in which two or more people are engaged in an attempt to acquire new knowledge or skills. Recent research suggests that collaborative learning engages students by providing the opportunity to share ideas and con-construct knowledge. In this presentation, Bill White will lead participants through a discussion of the importance of collaborative learning and ways in which this approach can be used in higher-education classrooms.
