Have you wondered how you can connect service-learning courses to fulfill faculty requirements for scholarship? Workshop participants will collaboratively explore current theories, practices, and assessment measures of community engaged learning and research, and identify opportunities to utilize your service-learning teaching as scholarship and research. Topics covered will included: Overview of community-engaged scholarship; rationale for why to connect service-learning with scholarship; resource guide for support; examples of high-quality scholarship; and tools to document engaged scholarship for reward and promotion. Please note that afternoon sessions are by appointment only.
