Intellectual Foundations Courses:

Course Revision:
EDU 310W Teaching Social Studies in the Elementary School (Diversity). Provides students with culturally sensitive pedagogy for selecting, organizing, presenting, and evaluating elementary-level social studies curriculum. Standards-based social studies approach provides the framework for determining appropriate curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment procedures to use in diverse elementary classrooms. Utilizes the arts (e.g., music, drama, visual arts, and movement) to enhance social studies content for more engaging, culturally responsive, and thoughtful instruction.
