Degree Navigator 4
Degree Navigator 4 (DN4), the latest version of the Degree Navigator audit system, is
expected to be implemented in early January. DN4 enables users to go directly to Degree
Navigator reports to determine academic progress while still providing the island-based
interface for those who prefer the visual representation. In addition, a variety of new
reports are now available to students and advisers, including a one-page summary.
DN4 also will provide audit administrators with the ability to make student exceptions
directly into a text-report format.
Suggestions and comments from faculty and staff following informational sessions for
DN4 have been extremely positive. Two additional information sessions are scheduled:
Introduction to Degree Navigator 4
Tuesday, January 6, 10:00–11:00 a.m., CyberQuad, E. H. Butler Library 318
Thursday, January 15, 1:00–2:00 p.m., CyberQuad, E. H. Butler Library 318
Please contact Elaine Gerace at ext. 4812 or geraceem@buffalostate.edu to register for
either session. Additional sessions will be held in the beginning of the spring semester.

basic or advanced search, the ability to view previous searches, and a link for quick
access to other SUNY library catalogs.
